Well....this is a lovely restaurant. We were served by Bella who was an excellent waitress...Thanks Bella 👍. Location is exactly what it says on the tin...... Cosy. We loved it and will be returning. 2 for 1 cocktails when we visited. Food was great. We had coffee after our meal downstairs at the window looking out onto the Medieval street and properties. Again thank you. Highly recommended if you want great service, food and a chilled visit.
Lovely change of scene with sumptuous decor. The food was ok, absolutely nothing wrong with it but nothing to write home about. We both had pancakes which were acceptable. I liked the fact that tea is served in pots and tap water readily available..these two things nowadays are a must IMHO.
The service was excellent. I don't need to dress it up anymore than that..excellent, thankyou.
I will definitely go again because it's one of the best places in Canterbury to chill out.
Oh yes, the Roman remains on the bottom floor are a lovely surprise.
Beautiful and intriguing decors. They've even got a small part of Roman ruins on the bottom floor.
Excellent place to hangout with friends and have a chat.
However the food needs improvement.
The risotto I ordered was a bit too salty and the texture was too liquid for risotto (more like congee in china), and the add-on chicken was the worst of all.
My wife and I love visiting the cosy club. The atmosphere, decoration and staff are all very friendly. The cocktails are great!! And with the happy hour they are very reasonably priced. Big shout out to Alex behind the bar. A true professional putting Tom Cruise to shame. His cocktails are amazing. Recommend you try!!
We came here for lunch. It's a big restaurant with additional seating upstairs. We were seated right away and ordered the butcher's brunch with a small side. It's large enough to share between two persons. We find it just a bit greasy. Our server was friendly.
The service was very slow.
Took over 90 minutes for starters to come. I had to tell 3 different people I had an allergy and what my order was, it seems very disconnected and disorganised. The waitress we had was pleasant and friendly. The food was okay, the starter was just a bowl of pigs in blankets, quite boring, no sauce no accompaniment it was a bit sad. The main pork belly, tasted nice, the pork was a bit over cooked and the amount of meat wasn't enough. Potatoes and cabbage and gravy all well seasoned, good flavours. Overall, it's okay, but I wouldn't rush back, for the price I don't think the experience matched the cost.
